Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!!! Today I am officially on spring break!

I saw this on my friend's instagram and thought it was perfect!!! :)

We decided to start spring break with a bang and have our 1st load bus riders miss the bus!!! So us first grade teachers hung out until 4:45 waiting on kids to be picked up! Oh my! Not how we wanted to start our Spring Break but we still had fun. :)

And yes it was pj day at school. :)

Back to business - I'm linking up with some other fabulous bloggers to share some of my favorite things this week! I'm going to share some ALB fashion favorites as well today!

1. Sinful Colors lavender nail polish

In the Spring I always get the urge to constantly have my nails painted! I busted out this adorable spring color this week and got so many compliments on it! And the best part is that it is a "cheap" brand but goes on great and it stayed all week! I love nail polish but I have a hard time spending $8 on the Essie and OPI bottles. I have some and they are fabulous but I buy nail polish a lot and cannot make myself spend that much every time. So most of the time I buy the cheap stuff and hope it works! And this one is great and I think it was $1.50. Score!

2. ALB Cheetah Scarf ($12) & pikos ($14-$20)

I've worn this scarf several times since it showed up on my doorstep! It goes with everything!!!

3. ALB's Mint tunic dress ($24.99)

Oh look, there's that cheetah print scarf again! See, I've been wearing it everywhere! This tunic dress is pretty fabulous too though!!! I paired it with some wedges for church!

4. This sweet baby

I told yall last week he was coming for a visit and we had the best time!!!

Lauren and I roomed together for 4 years in college and became the best of friends after about day 1 freshman year! We met at my parents house last Saturday and the girls hung out inside with baby Wesley while the boys went fishing outside!! We had a yummy BBQ lunch and chatted the afternoon away on mom & dads back porch. I'm already looking forward to seeing them again soon!

5. Field Trip with my babies
Monday we went to the park and to tour Bud's Best cookies! We had a great time! My kids loved watching how the cookies are made & we got to ride a train while touring the building! I just love watching them outside the classroom!

6. ALB's Back button tunic (multiple colors - $24.99)

How cute is my bestie, Allison? She styled this adorable tunic with a long necklace for work one day! Thanks for being a great model Allison :)

7. ALB's new monogram items!!

I heard on the radio this morning that it was National Puppy Day. I'd love to know who comes up with these ridiculous holidays...but I'm not complaining because I about died going through Emma-as-a-puppy pictures!

This was a picture the breeder sent us before we were allowed to pick her up. I think this was when she was around 3 weeks old. What a chunk!!!

Our first picture together right after we got her!! 6 weeks old!

Oh my, heart melted.

Wasn't she the cutest thing?
I could eat her up!!

That face!!!

Happy happy baby!

Mom, the vet is no fun!!

Oh how I love reminiscing! Everytime I look at her puppy pictures I tell Ty we need a new puppy. ;)

There's just something about a sweet little puppy!!!

And just because this is all about Emma, here's what she's been up to lately..

Hanging her head out the car window :)

Is this your spot mom??

She loves to play ball!

Hope you've found some sweet puppy pictures of your favorite dog and celebrated #nationalpuppyday too!

Friday Favorites

Hello FRIDAY!!! Oh yes, Fridays are my favorite! I'm linking up with some fabulous ladies for some Friday Favorites!

1. This view.
2. This candle.

I crammed 2 favorites into one picture! First, I love this view!! One afternoon this week, I was cooking and I turned around and saw this view and it was like my world stopped for a second. It was beautiful outside, this yummy candle was burning, the door was open, Friends was on, and my heart was full! And speaking of that candle, holy moly! My sweet cousin-in-law (to be) gave me this candle for helping with her bridal tea and I am IN LOVE! I'm a candle and Scentsy fanatic and just love when the apartment smells good. This candle is by far my favorite ever! It's lemon flavored and smells so amazing. And how cute is it?? A candle in a mason jar?? What more could a southern girl want?
If you're local, here's her info:

I'm not sure if she ships or not but it wouldn't hurt asking! They are amazing!

3. I ordered these stud earrings from Nordstrom a few weeks ago and they finally showed up on my doorstep this week! I absolutely love them! And the best part? They were only $8 & come in several other colors. I have a feeling I may go back for more. ;)

4. MaraNatha Almond Butter
Yum yum yum!!!! As you can see, there's a spoon in there. No, I didn't eat it straight from the spoon but I totally could have!

5. Timehop
was late to the timehop bandwagon but it's so addicting! I love checking the app every day to see what I had posted in years past. This precious baby popped up this week and my heart melted. He was so tiny!!!!

6. Ice cream cone cure for a Monday
I posted this on Instagram but I thought I'd share it again. This is for all the people who think Ty never eats anything unhealthy.
Ty is a health nut and has so much will power when it comes to sweets. I can only dream of turning down candy or cake or cookies like he can. (But do I want to???) He came home Monday with a DQ ice cream cone and said it was free cone day so he got one. He then begged me for several hours to go back and get another one. Well, you don't have to ask me twice...(again with the will power, I have none) as soon as we ate and I cleaned the kitchen and finished laundry, we went to DQ to get some free cones! It was the perfect end to the Monday blues!

7. Beautiful weather means more walks with Emma!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!! This sweet baby is coming to visit with his mommy & daddy and I cannot wait!!!

Old friends

If you've read my little blog for more than 5 seconds, you know how much I adore my girlfriends. I think God created us to fellowship together, support each other, cry and laugh with each other, and enjoy life together. And there's something so comforting about friends from your hometown. It's been very strange since my parents moved over to Birmingham. I absolutely love having them here but it changes the dynamics of the place I call "home". I will always refer to my hometown as home no matter how many years I've spent away from it. I haven't been back since August and my heart needs it. Luckily in two weeks I get to go spend some time with my girlfriends!

Last weekend one of my oldest friends got married near Athens, GA (hello all my UGA lovers!). Luckily, my sister Jeri & her husband still live there so mom & I got to make a weekend out of it!!

We got to eat some yummy Mama's Boy..
(If you ever go to Athens, you MUST eat here.)

And then did a little shopping! Athens has the cutest downtown area with lots of boutiques so we walked around and had some girl time.

The wedding was Saturday night and it was so much fun!!! I just love seeing old friends and picking up right where we left off.

Meet Ashlyn. She was the beautiful bride. This picture was taken nearly ten years ago in Ocean City, Maryland on a mission trip.

{Amanda, Wrenn, Ashlyn, and I - years and years of friendship between us!!}
Wasn't she a  gorgeous bride?? Her dress was stunning.

Here's Ashlyn and her groom dancing to their first dance. They have the neatest story. Ashlyn is a flight attendant for Delta and they met on a plane!!!! Talk about God orchestrating a love story. They are so sweet!

I chatted the night away with my bestie Wrenn. We don't get to see each other often so when we do we pretty much go 90 to nothin'!

It was so good to see so many familiar faces that helped shape me into who I am today.

On Sunday mom and I headed back to Birmingham and stopped in Atlanta and met this best friend for lunch...

We ate at a cute little diner & chatted the morning away! I love my sweet Melissa!

Can't wait to go see some of these sweet friends again in a few weeks for my spring break!
