Day 20 - Nicknames

In middle school, my nickname was DW (yes, DW from Arthur). I guess I looked like this:

lol! I have no idea who came up with that but I'm going to blame Molly for that one. Thanks best friend. :)

In high school, mom started calling me "Kat" and that kinda stuck. Ty's whole family calls me Kat and before Luke could say "Kafween", I was "Aunt Kat". It fits, and it doesn't refer to an aardvark like DW so I think I'm ok with it :)

Cousins on Christmas Eve! :)

New Car!!!!

So, its official! I am getting a new car soon! I have had 6 great years (with some not so great times) with the ole jeepster:

the jeepsters last Christmas!!
My jeep has been good to me - it got me through Senior year of high school, got me through college, and got me through a year and a half of teaching. However, it has been horrible to me as well - breaking down every 6 months. I cannot count the times I had to call my guy friends, dad, or any other boy who would help me when I was stranded somewhere. Half the time I was in Tuscaloosa and my dad would say, "What do you want me to do?" haha! It has broken down on the interstate, in the middle of intersections, and in numerous parking lots. It literally has a mind of its own! Anyways, the point is, the jeepster likes to break down alot. We have put WAYY more money in that jeep than it is worth! It is a 1992 and only worth probably $1,000. I am happy to say the jeepster and I are parting ways and I am getting a new car!!!! :) Ty and I decided on a car (even though I really want an SUV!) just because of money. I want to have this car paid off in 3 years and I need my payments to be as low as possible because I have rent, bills, food, gas, insurance, and LOTS OF LOANS! Anyways, I am ok with a car but it will take some getting use to! I know that when the time is right in the future, I will get my dream SUV (a tahoe!).

Here are my choices:

2007 Honda Accord

2007 Nissan Altima

2007 Toyota Camry

2008/2009 Chevy Malibu

What is your vote? I can't go wrong with any of them but my favorite is the Chevy Malibu! They are soooo pretty on the inside and outside! I have driven all of them but the accord and they all ride very nice! Also, I can get a 2008/2009 Malibu for around the same price as a 2007 accord, camry, or altima. We haven't made a decision yet but I think I have my heart set on a Malibu :)

Any favorites? Do any of you drive any of these cars and have any opinions??? :)

Day 18 & 19 & and MOLLY!

Day 18 - Something you regret

There are some things I regret in life but I try to think that everything happens for a reason and I made every decision for a reason - good or bad. If it was a bad one, I made it so I could learn a lesson. I don't like to regret things, but of course I do! I think one huge regret I have is giving my heart away too quickly in relationships. Yes, I said relationshipS (that is plural people). I have always been a romantic and I think everytime a guy wooed me I gave in and gave him a piece of my heart. It took my heart a long time to heal each time, all the while I could have been enjoying something else...but instead I was trying to get that piece of my heart back from that stupid boy who took it. My heart healed just in time for the right guy to take it away again. And no matter how much I try to say he didn't take it with one look, he did. I know that everything happens for a reason and I was in each of my previous relationships for a reason, but sometimes I still wish I hadn't given those certain people parts of my heart, and so quickly I might add. This might not make any sense to anyone reading this but it makes sense to me. :) and if you are close to me, I'm sure you'll understand! :) I am very lucky to have the boy who has stolen my heart this time. I think he has stolen it for good though. ;) I don't believe I will be regretting this one!!!

Day 19 - Something you miss

This is what I miss:

This is where we lived during baseball season - Good ole Thomas Sewell Stadium!!!

I miss college. I miss my college friends. I miss the long, late night talks about life. I miss the tears and the laughing til our stomachs hurt. I miss sleeping in and watching Friends in our PJ's all day. I miss hanging out at our favorite "boys" house 24/7. I miss everything about college (except for the work!). I miss our road trips. I miss football and baseball games with the girls in that picture. The list could go on for hours but i'll stop!!! Sometimes I look at all our old pictures and wonder how in the world we are all now in the working world and all (except for Lauren and I) in different cities. I cannot believe those 4 years went by so fast!!!

_______________________________________________________________

I have been SOOO busy the last couple of weeks that I forgot to announce that my BEST FRIEND, MOLLY, is ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited for her and Brian!!! Oh yeah, and did I mention I am the Maid of Honor???? :) I am so excited! Wedding planning is in full swing and it is sooo much fun!! Elaine (another bridesmaid) and I have already started planning her Bachelorette Weekend and I cannot wait!!!!

Molly, I am so excited for you. My only wish is that I could be there through all the planning. I wish I was closer but you better believe I am always just one phone call or picture away! I love you with all my heart and I am so happy you found your better half. I cannot believe you are engaged....how many nights did we sit in your bed talking about this!!! And now its here!! :) You  mean so much to me and I am so honored to be your MOH!!! :) I love you to the moon and back....

CONGRATS TO MOLLY AND BRIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always loved this picture of yall!

Day 16 & 17

Day 16 - Your Dream House

I have a picture painted in my fantasy world of my dream house...white wood - wrap around front porch - rocking chairs on the front porch, etc. etc. But lately I don't care what my house looks like when I get married, as long as it is filled with lots of love and lots of babies running around (eventually). I want my house to be cozy and warm and inviting. I don't want everything in its place at all times. As long as I'm with the one I love, it will be my dream home, no matter how big, small, clean or messy.

Day 17 - Something You're Looking Forward To

I will have no problem writing about what I'm looking forward to because lately that's all I've done. I have had a rough time being content with where God has me in my life right now. I'm so anxious for the next stage in my life and all I've been doing lately is looking forward to everything in my future. I could go ON AND ON with a list of things I am looking forward to but I will just leave it with this:
I am looking forward to the amazing plans God has for me in the future. I know they will be just amazing!!! :)

im back! kinda!

this won't be long because I have to go to sleep!! i spent ALL week last week painting my canvases. Saturday Mom and I sold them at our church's women's luncheon! It went sooo well! It consumed my life last week after school! Thats literally ALL i did! I should have started earlier but i am the biggest procrastinator ever!!! We had so much fun though! i owe a big thank you to Casey, Tricia (Ty's mom) and my sweet mommy for helping me!!!

Sunday we went to cut down Ty's family's Christmas Tree and it was so fun! We never cut down ours growing up but it has always been a tradition of theirs and I am so excited I finally got to go this year! I wish I had pictures but my camera cord and this computer are NOT cooperating tonight!

I will post pics of my canvases and pics of Sunday asap!

Also, I have not given up on my blog challenge, I just took a little break! ;) I will be back at it soon!

For now, here are some pics from Thanksgiving Break!!
