Boston

Okay - I am finally updating about my trip to Boston. I have been so busy lately getting ready for school that I haven't had time to update! I had a BLAST in Boston! I love Boston and think it is sooo cute! We went with Molly one day to look at an apartment and it was so adorable. I love the big city feeling. I don't know if I could live there but I sure do love visiting! We did a WHOLE LOT of eating! I think we based our days around all of the meals lol! Molly's boyfriend is a chef at a VERY nice restaurant so we ate dinner there one night. His restaurant is very historical and they gave us a little tour of all the floors of the place. It was very neat! The food was absolutely insanely good. I don't even like chocolate cake and I devoured the chocolate cake for dessert!
Here is Emily and I after dinner that night:

We also went to the restaurant where Molly works - again, amazing food! My favorite was the appetizer we got - Mac and Cheese bites! The view was great too!
On Friday we got to stay in a hotel because we were going to the Red Sox game that night and Molly didn't want us to have to drive back to her house after the game (she lives outside of the city). So we got star treatment at The Hilton! They sent us up a note and chocolate covered strawberries!!!!

This was our view from our fabulous room:

The Red Sox game was amazing of course! We had GREAT seats thanks to my super awesome boyfriend's dad! It ended up raining throughout the game and we were under the covered part so we never got wet! Boston lost (3rd straight game going to when they lost!) but we still had fun~! During the rain delay we had some lovely shirtless "tarp sliders" that got arrested for running onto the tarp!

That was quite amusing! Tommy (a friend from college) plays for Texas and we got to talk to him before the game and then he met us after to hang out! It was very good to see him! Here are some highlights from that night:

Here is Tommy acting like he's famous or something signing autographs :)

Saturday and Sunday were super fun! Saturday we went to South Shore, where we saw million dollar houses and rock beaches. It was so beautiful! On Sunday, we went to Plymouth and walked around - it was a very cute little town! We also went to Cambridge and Harvard. We walked around and ended the day at a little cupcake shop where a splurged and bought 4 cupcakes, yes, I said 4. And I am not ashamed.

Our sweet ride on Saturday!

It was a great trip! I loved hanging out with Molly and Emily in such a fun city!!!! :) Here are some more of my favorite pictures from the trip!

If you're a "Friends" fan, what does this remind you of?
oh and if you are blog savy, please help me! I don't know what the heck happened to my old design so I just have it like this temporarily until I can change it. If you can help, please HELP ME!!! I don't understand how to change it back to a fun one like I had :(

back from boston!

I am safely back in Alabama! I had a BLAST in Boston and cannot wait to share all our fun with you! But for now, you'll have to settle for a no-picture update (crazy, I know). As I was driving back from Atlanta this morning, I thought to myself, "by the time I get into my bed tonight, I will have been in 4 different cities in ONE day!" (Boston, Atlanta, Birmingham, Tuscaloosa) Whew! That calls for a good night's sleep if I do say so myself! I am completely 100 percent exhausted but had a WONDERFUL time in Boston! We went sight seeing, went to a Red Sox game, went to South Shore, went to Plymouth, went to Cambridge, and ate ALL DAY LONG EVERY SINGLE DAY! I think I gained 30 pounds in 4 days. :)

I promise I will post pictures as soon as I can!

the green monstah

In just 4 short days, I will be back in this magical place:

Yes, it is magical. Blog, meet the Green Monster (or as the locals say it, "The Green Monstah!")

Emily (my cousin) and I are flying out Thursday morning to go spend a 4 day weekend with this love of my life:
I am so flippin excited to see my molly ann and to spend the weekend in Boston exploring her new hometown! We both went to Boston last summer for our graduation gifts from our parents. We actually were there on the same day but she was leaving and I was just flying in. We both quickly fell in love with Boston and she is living out our dream and has set roots in Boston! I havent seen her since she moved out of our house last May!!! I cannot wait to spend 4 days with her!!!!!!

Thanks to my boyfriend's super cool dad, we also got tickets to see the Red Sox play on Friday night! I am SOOO excited! Of course, I will always be a Braves fan, but after Ty and I started dating, I was forced to start liking the Red Sox and after visiting Boston last summer and going to 2 games, I quickly fell in love with the stadium and team! I am so excited to see them play again!

Last year, we (of course) did the whole "touristy" thing and saw all the sights, walked around, went on a duck boat, went to see Harvard (or as the locals say it, "Hahavahd"), etc.

This year, we will probably do alot of the same stuff because Emily has never been but I am excited to just see Boston, as Molly sees it, as home. I can't wait to see where she lives, works, hangs out, goes out, etc. I'd like to think she lives in a place that looks like this:

I cannot wait! I'm like a little girl waiting to go to Disney World (wait, I would still be this excited to go to Disney World.....shhhh don't tell).

Don't be jealous, I'll take lots of pictures for you.

Show us your life - Favorite Bible Verse

This is my first Kelly's Korner "Show us your life" post! yay!

My favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11. It is my life verse and in the recent months, I have repeated it in my head over and over and over.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11

God didn't take my job away from me to harm me. He knows EXACTLY what He is doing. He has another plan for me, another path for me to take. This verse is perfect for me right now in my life. It speaks mountains of who God is and how much He loves us. Everything that happens to us in our life is for a purpose. He wants me to serve Him somewhere else. And I need to stop worrying and let Him do his thing! :)

What is your favorite bible verse?

Head over to Kellys Korner and join the blog hop!

Happy Birthday Melissa!

Today (July 8th-I wrote this the night before) is one of my best friend's birthdays!!!! Melissa and I have been friends since 9th grade when she transferred to Harrison from a private school. We INSTANTLY connected and have been best friends ever since. We have been through some VERY tough times together and it has only made us closer as friends. I am so blessed to have her in my life. I don't get to see her often because she lives in Atlanta but whenever we do get to see each other, we pick up right where we left off without skipping a beat. Melissa has a very tender, loving heart and is such a special friend to me. I am so glad I got to spend the day with Melissa today on her birthday! It is also her boyfriend, Matt's birthday so Happy Birthday Matt as well! Thanks for coming into Melissa's life and showing her how she should be treated. I have waited for you to come into her life for a LONG, LONG time! Thanks for being so good to her!

I love you Melissa and I will always always be here for you no matter what life throws at us! I love you and I hope you have a FABULOUS birthday!
