time to spill the beans...

(I wrote the first half of this post yesterday...)
First off (before I spill the beans..), It's my birthday!! And what a wonderful day I have had!!! I've been at the lake all weekend with my parents and Ty's family! That is exactly what I wanted to do! So relaxing!!! We have been sun bathing, tubing, sea-doo riding, and eating!!!! :) Perfect way to spend my 24th birthday!!!

Alright...here we go!!!

I got a teaching job!!!!


I started teaching Kindergarten...today!!! 


I got the job 2 Fridays ago...It was very quick, a resume sent & 2 interviews later and I got the job! I got my room ready this past Thursday and Friday with the help of my amazing mother and Ty's amazing mother! Could not have done it without them!!! 


I feel very blessed to be at the school I am at. The teachers and administration have been so very sweet to me helping the transition go smoothly. God has truly answered a prayer that I have been praying for a LONG time. 


I am super excited about Kindergarten and know it is going to be a wonderful year!! My new babies are so sweet and so little! I just love them already!! 


Again, thank you to all who prayed for me 2 Fridays ago and thank you to my family and friends who have continued to pray through my teaching career journey so far.

I have been a little stressed this week but, I found this cute picture and it made me smile :)

Thank you to all who prayed for me on Friday. A huge, gigantic prayer was answered and I am just amazed at how God works. He has proven His love for me over and over and over. I have learned lately not to doubt His perfect plan for my life. I am feeling very very blessed right now and am very excited for the coming days and weeks. Again, thank you so much for the prayers!!!

I get to see these sweet angels tomorrow (and Luke!) for the first time in about 3 weeks! I've been going through major withdrawals! <----Why does that word look so weird? Sometimes I hate spellcheck!

Last Weekend

Thank you for the sweet comments on my last post!!

Last weekend Melissa and I ran in a 5k in my hometown. It was a great race! It was my first big one, which was a little different. But I think a good different :) There were things I liked about the bigger race but also things I like about smaller races.

 Melissa and I ran it in 30:44 (way under our goal). We were 7th & 8th out of 33 women in our age group! We were very satisfied and loved running together! We thought it was bizarre that we trained in 2 different cities but somehow run at the exact same pace! :)

On Sunday, we went zip-lining for Ty's birthday! Melissa and Matt joined us which made it extra fun!! We ended up upgrading to the next level and I am so glad we did because it was SO worth it! If anyone is interested, we went to Banning Mills in Whitesburg, GA.

It was so much fun! I would love to do it again!!!

A little down

My heart is hurting a little tonight. School starts tomorrow (for the systems I taught in the past 2 years) and it's just weird not being a part of it. I know God clearly has a different path for me this year and I have accepted that but it's hard. I know I will get over it but that was my life. And now it's not and I feel lost.

To all my blogger friends who are teachers, hug & love on your new babies a little more for me since I don't have any this year! Please!!!

I know I am still a teacher, just took a little break, right?
