Here's what we're chatting about today...
So let's dive right in!!!
What we're eating this week -
Monday night we had pizza for dinner after a traditional BBQ lunch for Memorial Day! For my local friends, our favorite pizza place is Marco's! If you haven't had their pizza before, go try it! I'm a Pizza Hut girl through and through but Marco's is SO good!!
Tuesday night we had mozzarella burgers for dinner - um, YUM! (Super easy - mix 1 lb ground beef with 1/2 cup shredded mozzerella, 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs and 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce then form into patties and grill or use a griddler like I did!) I made mine with a sweet potato and kale salad and Ty said it was an "A+ meal" - ha! Seriously though, best burger I've ever made!
Tonight we are having Chicken Cesar Wraps from the crockpot! I have never made these before so I'm hoping they will be yummy!
Thursday night we are having Parmesan Chicken Bake which is a favorite in our house!
What I'm reminiscing about -
My weekend trip with my cousin to New Orleans & Baton Rouge to see Taylor Swift!!!! We had such a blast and of course tswift was AH-MAZING!
What I'm loving -
My sweet husband! I've been thinking the last few days about how fabulous he is. I left him the past 2 weekends for girl trips and he never said a word. I love that he knows I need my girls to help me through life. He respects my friendships and understands that they are important to me. Do I miss him like crazy when I leave him? Absolutely. I can't wait to be back with him. Did I feel bad for leaving him 2 weekends in a row? Yes. But it just makes me appreciate him so much more that he never complained or tried to talk me out of going or anything. Marriage is hard, but so fun at the same time. I love loving him more each day!
What we've been up to -
It's officially summer so we've been celebrating by staying up late and sleeping in! We are both night owls & I fall back into a stay up late/sleep late routine in the summer!
What I'm dreading -
We are moving (don't ask me where because I don't know (ha)) in a few weeks and I DESPISE moving. I hate it! I hate packing and unpacking and moving in the Alabama Summer heat is even worse. Blah!
What I'm working on -
Relaxing!!!! Last summer I feel like I didn't get a summer with my sister's wedding, one of my best friend's weddings, my wedding, getting ready for my wedding, etc! I remember school starting back and thinking I needed a break to relax from my insanely busy summer! Ha! I am so excited to just relax this summer!
What I'm excited about -
Trying to find us a house! We got in a bidding war a few weeks ago on a house and even though it didn't end in our favor, I'm glad we finally made an offer on a house. We've been looking for a long time but never made an offer so I feel like it's happening and hopefully sooner rather than later! I'm hoping to be in a house and settled before school starts again!
What I'm watching/reading -
Watching - When we finished Dexter on Netflix we never started a new series so I'm excited to start one for the summer! We've been watching a lot of Shark Tank and The Profit together and I love to watch my cooking shows (Pioneer Woman & Trisha Yearwood), as well as Fixer Upper & Flip or Flop on HGTV!
Reading - I need a new book! I finished Ree Drummond's book and it was fabulous!
What I'm listening to -
My radio is always on a country station. I'm soley a country music listener with some tswift added in there ;)
What I'm wearing -
Umm its summer - that means I'm in Nike shorts & a tank top with my hair up and no makeup on. That's the only way to get through the Alabama heat!
Speaking of clothes - I haven't done an ALB favorites post in a few weeks & I need to! So many new cute items!!! Go check them out at amandaleeboutique.com and use my code KATHLEENREP for 10% off!
What I'm doing this weekend -
The only plan we have is my niece's 3rd birthday!!! I can't believe our baby Kate is 3!
What I'm looking forward to next month -
Ty's 30th birthday is at the end of July and I need to start planning something fun! I am hoping we will be in a house by then and we can have a cookout or something! Anyone have any great ideas for a 30th birthday??
So that's what we've been up to lately! It still hasn't really hit me yet that it's summer break!! Of course it's supposed to rain all week but I'm hoping for lots of pool and lake days in my near future!!
Even Emma is ready for the lake! ;)
Yall go link up and share what you've been up to!!!!
