Boston

I went to Boston on Saturday to see my best friend Molly & her husband Brian and their new baby girl, Charlie Grace!

I could barely contain my excitement last week and I think time slowed down last week because I was looking forward to the weekend so much. Can you say slowest week ever!??

Saturday I finally got to see Molly after over a year and half apart and I FINALLY got to meet Charlie Grace! It's hard to have one of your best friends have a baby and you literally can't get to them. It was so hard to wait six weeks to be able to see them. However, I will say the wait was worth it...

I couldn't wait to get my hands on her!

When I got there, I snuggled with her for several hours and got to catch up with Molly! We haven't seen each other since her wedding night & it's like we never missed a beat. We picked up exactly where we left off. So glad I finally got to see her & hug her neck!

Bama was playing in the early afternoon so we got Charlie Grace ready in her gameday attire and we walked about 30 minutes to a restaurant to watch the game!

Seriously? Cutest bama baby ever! And yes those are football leg Warmers with ruffles. ;)

Reunited at last!

Molly's husband, Brian, joined us after he got off work and we enjoyed (ok, had several heart attacks) cheering on the tide! After the game we walked by the harbor back to their apartment. The sun had already gone down and it was beautiful seeing the Boston skyline.

I had been up since 3am running on 3 hours of sleep so needless to say, we ate dinner and hit the sack when we got back to their apartment!

Here are some pictures of walking around Boston on Saturday...I absolutely LOVE this city. It is by far my favorite city ever and I would totally move there for a year or two in a heartbeat! It is so beautiful and so neat and there's always something to do and see. I always knew I was a city girl but I don't realize it until I'm in the middle of one.

Molly's street (would be alot better without the construction ha!)

Such a cute building!

Come back tomorrow for a re-cap of my second day in Boston!!!

Hagen & Emma

Last weekend Ty and I went home to mom & dad's for Labor Day/the bama game. I hadn't been home since June and a long weekend at home was just what I needed after the first two weeks of school.

Anna brought Hagen over Friday and they ended up staying most of the weekend!

Hagen and Emma were pretty much attached at the hip the whole weekend and it was so cute. They would follow each other around all day and Emma would give Hagen tons of kisses & Hagen would stick his hand right in Emma's mouth!

I love how protective Emma was of Hagen! Every time someone would pick Hagen up, she would follow them around. She had to be right with him!

It's amazing to me how a dog knows that a baby is a baby and how she knew to be gentle with him. It made me so excited to have kids and watch Emma with them. She was such a little dog-nanny all weekend! It was so precious.

Nutri-Blasts

Ty got me a Nutri-Bullet for my birthday!!!

I have wanted a blender or nutri-bullet for awhile now. I tend to eat breakfast on the go every morning, which results in eating cereal in a cup every morning while I swerve down 280 (if you're from Birmingham, you know that's not safe). I've been thinking that drinking a smoothie every morning would be much healthier and easier to consume on my morning commute!

After I got the nutri-bullet last week, I read the entire book that comes with it and learned so many things about nutrition! The book also gave lots of recipes to get me started on making nutri-blasts!

Ty so graciously gave me a hefty giftcard to Whole Foods to get me started on making my nutri-blasts. I went to Whole Foods last night with my list in hand and got tons of fruits and veggies! I had my first nutri-blast today and it wasn't that yummy but ill learn what goes good together! Today, I followed a recipe from the book and it had spinach, strawberries, mango, goji berries, avocado, and flax seeds. I downed it even though it didn't taste that good. Hopefully ill find some good combos and will be making yummy ones soon. However, as Ty said, "it's a nutri-blast, not a milkshake!" ;) I'm getting my fruits & veggies in and I guess that's all that matters, right?

Anyone else have a nutri-blast? Any good recipes to share?
