Prayer Request
An old friend of mine passed away last weekend after being wounded in Afghanistan. He grew up with me in church and I know his sweet family very well. My heart is heavy knowing the pain of burying a family member long before they ever thought they would. I do not know how it feels to bury a child but when my Uncle Stu died in a motorcycle accident at the age of 44, I vividly remember my precious grandmother repeating "You aren't supposed to outlive your own children, its just not right". And its not. The pain that Jacob's parents feel is most likely unbearable. God's love and peace is the only way that their hearts can heal. So I ask you to please pray for his parents, Tony and Renee; his brother Sam; his little sister Molly; his wife; and all of his grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. Please pray that God will wrap them up in His loving arms and heal their broken hearts. Jacob fought hard for our country so that we could be free and he will forever be a hero in my eyes. I know that he is with Jesus, which makes me smile. Please take the time to thank those who are serving in our military, those precious men and women don't get thanked enough.
Rest In Peace Jacob Dennis, You are a hero!
